Faik Sönmez started custom tailoring in 1950, and soon became one of the most sought after dressmakers in Istanbul. In 1972, he started applying his fitting and pattern expertise to ready to wear clothing. Using his experience of more than 20 years in fitting, he started preparing patterns to suit Turkish women’s measurements; his comfortable, custom-made-like dresses are presented with meticulous seaming, high quality fabrics and affordable prices. During the past 73 years, change has been  constant at Faik Sönmez; but still, our understanding of quality has remained unaltered.

Work on a collection starts a year in advance. Every season 35.000 fabrics are examined, 1.000 fabrics are tested in detail. More than 150 different kinds of fabric are used in every collection. Faik Sönmez offers unlimited options for women more than 400 style collection every season.

It allows women to be more stylish and comfortable during special moments with evening dresses, caters to the business women with office combinations, offers casual chic options for everyday ease.
