Faik Sönmez’s Comfort-at-Home collection has been updated and enriched with new models. However, it is a real fact that none of us anticipated that sporty models and comfortable fabrics would dominate our styles to this extent by this time last year. It is beyond doubt that, on one hand, we have started to notice and prefer the comfort of this style during this period that we have been spending more time at home. But on the other hand, sporty pieces have a negative side: While their comfort is prioritized, the line between us and a ‘shabby outlook’ becomes blurred. So, how can you build a style that will make you both stylish and comfortable and save sporty models from being merely ‘elegant pyjamas’?
MIX UP – COMBINE – ADD YOUR INTERPRETATION:
The first rule is to be brave! You might not have ever considered to combine a very sporty item with a classical-cut model; but, for example, a hooded sweatshirt that you can wear under your jacket is now both very trendy and inspiring! You can choose either a classical or a sporty jacket as well… It is up to you. But don’t limit yourself anymore with regard to sporty-chic styles. Try, adapt to your style and enjoy them…
DO NOT EXAGGERATE SIZES
The comfort of sportswear creates the same feeling for all of us: We want to hide ourselves inside them. However, if you want to use these cuts that are already loose in general with other items in the correct manner, prefer the patterns that best fit your own size, instead of larger sizes. Thus, you will have taken a huge step that will protect you from a shabby appearance. If you like bulky styles, make use that you certainly apply a balance. For example, you can wear your bulky sweatshirt with slim-fit pants. Or you can combine loose woven pants with a close-fitting blouse or t-shirt.
CHOOSE KEY PARTS
Home collection offers many options; but you may not necessarily need all of them. While designing your style, pay attention to choose key items. Hooded models are extremely in vogue. But do you use zipper versions or plain models more comfortably? Decide on this issue. The same distinction also applies for colours. If your wardrobe is made up of dark colours in general, you can heat up your style with a vivid claret red colour; however, if you are looking for the models that you will always use, anthracite compatible with all colour tones may also be the right choice for you…
